March Message from the President...
Hello SDCA Members. The legislative session was a busy one with a lot of controversial bills. In the end HB1182 –the funding package for education passed and HB1008 was vetoed by the governor. Just a reminder, we don’t need a legislative session to advocate for counseling. I challenge each of you to take some time and ask yourself “What can I do to advocate for the profession?” Advocacy can be as simple as explaining to others what you do or writing a small article that can help raise awareness.
